Will This New Year Bring Us What We Need?

Happy New Year, and God bless you! :)

As I type this I am under a spell of headaches and tiredness  sometimes hangover, but I don’t drink alcohol. Just sipped champagne, and I guess that did the trick. Sometimes it happens sometimes it doesn’t. My TPE readers know that I am epileptic and suffer depression from time to time. So meds are also at play here.

Every January 1st I believe it’s going to be the best year ever for the planet; it happened last year! And all of us saw what a mess it turned out to be. I am not playing by these rules today on this January 1, 2012. I am concerned, reflective and ready to take action, speak, write and pay attention to any signs.

God, Jesus, Mary and the angels gives us signs all the time and we just have to pay close attention. It may be as subtle as a mark on the ground, a necklace with a crucifix waving by itself that nobody touched, or just look at the clouds. The one that hundreds of thousands of people are seeing the same numbers on their clocks, license plates and street numbers. For example, 11:11, 12:12, 9:11, 3:33 and so on.

What do we need for 2012? Love. Thanks. Wisdom. Patience. And above all, faith. Faith that God is watching over us, that Jesus is our friend, brother, Father and He’s at the ready when we struggle. Our Blessed Mother guides us, gives us messages, covers us with Her Holy Mantle and comforts us. Through Fatima we were warned, at Garabandal as well, Medjugorje - while still quite controversial by the Church and many skeptics-I leave for the faithful to experience discernment.

Love yourself – this is the hardest thing to do. Love others that spew hatred over the Internet. With love oftentimes we find forgiveness. That increases our love and our chest expands with it. Love the Holy Trinity as well as Mary if you wish. Don’t ask why things happen-Just send them your love to Them. Anytime, especially when tragedy strikes and the unexpected happens.

Thanks-every single day and night, look up and thank the Heavens above for that day, no matter how sick you feel, how bad was your day at work, and even if nothing significant impacts that day; thank Them in the morning and in the evening before bed. I love to give Them my “good mornings” and “good evenings” and believe that Jesus trekked with me every day to help me with my daily issues. Look up and give thanks, or if you can’t:-Just pray thanks.

Wisdom – to watch what others do; seize it and use it in your favor. Wisdom to not be rash and say or do something that can carry long-lasting consequences. Wisdom to tell others what they need to hear from you and hope that wisdom results in good results. Pray for wisdom when confronted with a problem. Your inner-self will get it, put it to work and learn from it.

Patience! Lord knows that moms beg for it every day! Now technology brings the world closer; I can tweet with someone in London and watch live Egypt‘s struggles and weather problems in the opposite side of the country. The rich and famous get what they want with a snap of their fingers; we want our fast food faster. We want Chicken Nuggets from McDonald’s in the morning, our world to be perfect and fix that pesky National Debt in two weeks. We are so impatient that the world can pass us by and our demands won’t matter because no matter what we want when we want it, everything will happen in due course-not the other way around.

I am concerned that this rush, these demands to have “everything I want right now” is picking up with our kids and grand kids. Don’t belive me? Just watch. What to do, what can we do about this? What part of all of this is being spoiled to the core, or just have an impatient child? We need to teach, they need to learn. If we’re not patient the kids will pick up on it and take it to the next level.

Get some faith to give and share love, the wisdom to do what’s right, and the patience for things to work out and thank the Lord.
