Incredible. I hope that the culprits are arrested, charged and serve due time in prison. But above all, I want to know why. Is it so that these people can use this first class relic to touch it to other items and then sell these relics and make money? That is one plausible reason.

The other one, that there’s a desperately ill person and those thieves stole it in hopes that it can perform a miracle. Stay tuned.

Police in Ireland are studying security camera footage from a cathedral in Dublin after the preserved heart of the city’s patron saint was stolen over the weekend, they said Monday.

The 900-year-old heart of St. Laurence O’Toole was taken from the iron cage where it is normally kept in Christ Church Cathedral, police and the Cathedral said.

The bars were wrenched open, allowing access to the heart-shaped wooden box that held the relic bolted to a wall in Saint Lauds Chapel, Irish police said.

Security cameras cover the cathedral’s welcome desk, but not the interior of the chapel or the cathedral, police said.

There’s Nothing Better Than A Good Altar Cleanup

It smells like roses; my two María Rosa Mystica statues are properly dusted off, cleaned and anointed along with Laxmi Brand Rose Water (it’s a brand you can find at your grocery store.) I cleaned up with the same oil and water the table where everything is set up, and rearranged it all. It’s ready for my novena, starting tomorrow.

Remember, Rosa Mystica novenas start on the 5th, and end on the 13th, which is her Marian day, with devotions and graces granted to those who ask Her through Jesus, His Son.

One of my three roses are giving me the wonderful grace of color change (the red has a white part on one side of it, but it’s not “frozen”. What I mean, it’s that no matter how long I’ve had the rose, it looks like is as fresh as when I bought it.

The other two, the white rose and a cream/pink rose that represents the golden rose are in great shape. The white rose looks like I bought it yesterday, even though it’s been a week. The white rose represents prayer. I believe that with the roses, I can tell what I need to do in order to live a holy, righteous life. The glitter is the extra icing on the cake-the messages that I get with its colors* let me know what She asks of me, and what I always desire: That’s when I know She is still keeping me company.

These are times where all over the world many are tested, are dying in the name of Jesus refusing to convert to other religions, and the force of nature destroys what people have-including their lives. Pray, pray hard for all of them, ask Saint Dymphna for the grace of peace of mind and Padre Pío to look into ourselves, and repent of our sins.

An angel comforting Jesus before his arrest in...

Call on your angels, Call on your guardian angels! Ask God for angelic intercession. Not the New Age angel stuff-the real God, our one true Savior Jesus Christ. Ask THEM. Be humble, be honest and don’t be a vain person.

With all my love and with hope that you, too, clean up not only your home altars, but your lives! Blessed Be to those who seek the company of Our Lord!

Update: How To Obtain A Maria Rosa Mystica Statue From Germany

UPDATE: I fixed the link to the official Rosa Mystica website (Italian). Click on it, and it will re-direct you to the main site. My apologies! CathCon/ThePalinExpress

Due to the demand of my readers, I need to provide this update: I CAN send icons of Maria Rosa Mystica; the problem is I am in very short supply. For my friends in India, I am amazed and love the devotion to Our Blessed Mother. So, for the record, here it goes:

1-I CANNOT SEND MY ROSA MYSTICA STATUE ANYWHERE AROUND THE WORLD. I can only pilgrim from house to house where I live. That’s the way it’s supposed to be.

2-Because I am in short demand for icons, I will take both sizes I have here and see if they can print them the same way I have them. That way I can supply icons. Please when I reach you, as soon as you can receive the icon take it to church and have it blessed. Kerala‘s YouTube videos illustrate what happens with Our Mother’s intercession.

3- I receive a bulletin via email from Montichiari and the information BELOW please write it down and place your requests THERE.

4- As of today, I have not heard nor received anything new. I guess I will press them for more items but no statues! :)

a- I receive via email a bulletin called (in Spanish) “La Voz De Rosa Mistica”-Rosa Mystica’s voice-and all the information that you will read below is in this bulletin. This is from Italy:

b- Rosa Mystica Association – Fontanelle; Via Rampina di San Giorgio, 24- Cas. Post. 134 25018 MONTICHIARI (Brescia) Italia

c- For information we ask you to contact Fontanelle’s location – Via Madonnina Tel. +39 030 964 111 Casa di Pierina – Via S. Martino della Battaglia, 155

I will personally see to it that this information will help me obtain more icons and more MRM medals and other supplies. In the meantime, I plan to take my icons to a print company and see if they can duplicate them so I can place an order and satisfy the demand. This is part of my pilgrimage, since I cannot take my statue all over the world.

If you happen to receive a Maria Rosa Mystica icon, please take it to church and have it blessed.

Thanks and I hope this helps!

Depressed? Epilepsy? Mentally Ill? Saint Dymphna Is For You

Here is a young saint that works miracles, is widely unknown and I suggest and recommend in these times when medications for all these illnesses are all over the media.

Here is her story:

Feastday: May 15
Patron of those suffering for nervous and mental affictions

Dymphna was fourteen when her mother died. Damon is said to have been afflicted with a mental illness, brought on by his grief. He sent messengers throughout his town and other lands to find some woman of noble birth, resembling his wife, who would be willing to marry him. When none could be found, his evil advisers told him to marry his own daughter. Dymphna fled from her castle together with St. Gerebran, her confessor and two other friends. Damon found them in Belgium. He gave orders that the priest’s head be cut off. Then Damon tried to persuade his daughter to return to Ireland with him. When she refused, he drew his sword and struck off her head. She was then only fifteen years of age. Dymphna received the crown of martyrdom in defense of her purity about the year 620. She is the patron of those suffering from nervous and mental afflictions. Many miracles have taken place at her shrine, built on the spot where she was buried in Gheel, Belgium.

Prayer: Hear us, O God, Our Saviour, as we honor St. Dymphna, patron of those afflicted with mental and emotional illness. Help us to be inspired by her example and comforted by her merciful help. Amen.

Here are more prayers for St. Dymphna (from prayerflowers):

St. Dymphna
Prayer…Lord God, Who has graciously chosen Saint Dymphna to be the patroness of those afflicted with mental and nervous disorders, and has caused her to be an inspiration and a symbol of charity to the thousands who invoke her intercession, grant through the prayers of this pure, youthful martyr, relief and consolation to all who suffer from these disturbances, and especially to those for whom we now pray.
(Here mention those for whom you wish to pray.)

We beg You to accept and grant the prayers of Saint Dymphna on our behalf. Grant to those we have particularly recommended patience in their sufferings and resignation to Your Divine Will. Fill them with hope and, if it is according to Your Divine Plan, bestow upon them the cure they so earnestly desire. Grant this through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

(pray for 9 days or 9 hours straight)

St. Dymphna, a great wonder worker in every affliction of mind and body, I humbly implore your powerful intercession with Jesus through Mary, the Health of the Sick.

You are filled with love and compassion for the thousands of patients brought to your shrine for centuries and for those who cannot come to your shrine but invoke you in their homes or in hospitals. Show the same love and compassion toward me, your faithful client. The many miracles you have wrought through your intercession give me great confidence that you will help me in my present need. (state your specific request or intention here!)

I am confident of obtaining my request, if it is for the greater glory of God and the good of my soul. For the sake of Jesus and Mary, whom you loved so earnestly, and for whom you offered your life in martyrdom, grant my prayer.

St. Dymphna, young and beautiful, innocent and pure, help me to imitate your love of purity. You chose to be martyred by your own fathers sword rather than consent to sin. Give me strength and courage in fighting off the temptations of the world and evil desires.

As you have given all the love of your heart to Jesus, help me to love God with my whole heart and serve Him faithfully. As you bore the persecution of your father and the sufferings of an exile so patiently, obtain for me the patience I need to accept the trials of my life with loving resignation to the will of God.

St. Dymphna, through your glorious martyrdom for the love of Christ, help me to be loyal to my faith and my God as long as I live. And when my hour of death comes, stand at my side and pray for me that I may at last merit the eternal crown of glory in God’s Kingdom.

Good St. Dymphna, I beg you to recommend my request to Mary, the Health of the Sick, and Comforter of the Afflicted, that both of you may present it to Jesus, the Divine Physician.

O God, You gave St. Dymphna to Your Church as a model of all virtues, especially holy purity, and willed that she should seal her faith with her innocent blood and perform numerous miracles. Grant that we who honor her as patroness of those afflicted with nervous and mental illness may continue to enjoy her powerful intercession and protection and attain eternal life. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Nine Prayers to Saint Dymphna

Dear Saint Dymphna, you gave us an example in your own life of firm faith. Neither flattery, earthly rewards nor the threat of death caused you to waver in your fidelity to God. Please help us then, amid the uncertainties of life, to imitate your wholehearted dedication to Christ.   Be good enough to come to our aid in our need, and pray for us to God. Amen.

Good Saint Dymphna, you placed all your hope in Christ’s promises, and sacrificed even your life in that hope. The Lord, God, rewarded your constancy by making your name known and loved over many centuries by the thousands whom you have aided in time of difficulty. Please assist us now in our present necessity, and intercede before God for our intentions. Obtain for us a firm hope like your own in God’s unfailing protection. Amen.

You are celebrated Saint Dymphna, for your goodness to others. Both in your lifetime, and even more in the ages since, you have again and again demonstrated your concern for those who are mentally disturbed or emotionally troubled. Kindly secure for me, then, some measure of your own serene love, and ask our Lord to give us a share in His life and boundless charity. Amen.
You were marked in life, Saint Dymphna, by a high degree of prudence. You sought and followed the advice of your confessor and spiritual guide. You fled from temptation even when it meant exile and poverty. In your last extremity you chose to die rather than offend God. Please help us now by your merits not only to know what is right, but procure for us also the strength to do it. Amen.

Admirable Saint Dymphna, how just you were to all whom you encountered, and how careful you were to give every person his due, and more than he might desire or expect. By your power with God please come to assist us to be just to all we meet, and even to be generous in giving everyone more than strict justice requires. Amen.

Generous Saint Dymphna, like all Christ’s martyrs you gained this crowning grace because you prepared for it by a life of self denial. By faithfulness in smaller things you were ready for your final trial. Please teach us by your example and help to use the good things of life so that we may not miss our chance for life eternal. Help us, too, to watch and pray for ourselves and others. Amen.

Courageous Saint Dymphna, your strength was from God. His grace enabled you to resist evil, and to prefer exile to a life of sinful luxury. Christ’s own power preserved you faithful to Him in life and in death. In your kindness help us to imitate your example in little things, and gain for us fortitude to bear with the misfortunes we meet, and strength to overcome our weakness. Amen.

Most pure virgin, Saint Dymphna, we live at a time when many are intent on satisfying every carnal appetite. Your single-minded dedication to Christ alone is providential and inspiring. Please help us by your power with God to see life in proportion as you did. With your aid we propose to perform all our actions for a pure motive, and promptly to resist all our evil inclinations. Amen.

Most faithful Saint Dymphna, you remained true to your baptismal promises to the very end. You are, therefore, honored, known, and loved after 1,400 years by people you have aided all over the world. We do not know how long or short a time is left to us of this life here, but help us in any case to be faithful to God to the end. Please gain for us the grace to live one day at a time as if each were to be our last. Amen.

Weeping Eyes Of Maria Rosa Mystica Statue

This is one controversial piece, where there is a lot of skepticism regarding statues of Our Blessed Mother with tears. This one had a witness that inspected the statue before, and then it started “crying.”

Here’s a piece of that article:

S. is a prayerful Catholic. For the past 10 days, she’s had in her house a Rosa Mystica statue of the Virgin Mary. It’s about 18 inches tall, and she has it on her coffee table. I had never heard of this particular devotion, even during my Catholic years, but S. says this is one of two (I think) such statues in south Louisiana. Both are passed around among Catholics who are very ill or otherwise in distress. S. told me that she and others sometimes see moisture forming in the eyes of the statue during prayer. She showed me a couple of images on her iPhone purporting to document this, as well as other eerie alterations on the statue’s face during and immediately following prayer. We were sitting right next to the statue the whole time. I didn’t notice anything unusual about it.

We talked for a while about how her cancer treatment was going, and things that have been on her mind. After a while, she asked me if I had time to stay and pray her daily rosary with her. Sure, I said. We knelt down to pray, and I could see at the bottom of the statue’s right eyelid moisture forming. It was strange. It was definitely not there when I first saw the statue, and I had not moved more than two feet from it the whole visit. Nobody ever touched it. We prayed the rosary together, and asked God’s help and blessing for the sick, and others in need of mercy. When we had finished, S. said, “Do you see that?”

Yes, I did see that. There were two small beads of liquid appearing on the lower lid of the statue’s right eye. They had been there since we started to pray. I took the photo above with my iPhone camera.

Make of that what you will. I know better than to try to say what that was, or what it meant. I believe this kind of thing can and does happen, miraculously. All I’m willing to say about this particular incident is that these “tears” weren’t there when I first examined the statue — and I examined it from a number of angles, both before and after this incident. Nobody touched the statue while I was there. The liquid appeared to have emerged as we knelt to pray.

Here’s the picture:

Both of my statues are 18″ tall too, and one of them (the one that is not from Germany) looks like it’s about to cry, but never does. That statue keeps me on edge! The one that is from Germany does have a high quality painting, more matté; my daughter believes that soon she will open her lips and smile. That would be unprecedented, since for a Virgin Mary statue to have teeth is quite rare. Click here for one of these images.

If you read the comments, it is truly heart breaking. Marian devotion is widely misinterpreted amongst those that are not Catholic. Why bash the mother of Christ, chosen before She was born by God Himself?
